UnSTUCK SOLUTION – When Was The Last Time…

Here’s something to think about…what have you personally done lately to protect your greatest asset?

Let me ask you…

  1. Do you have a formal (or any) recognition program for your employees? When was the last time it was updated?
  2. Do you ask your employees what they value, or do you come to those conclusions in a vacuum?
  3. Do you offer flexible work hours?
  4. Do get up from your desk, leave your office, and walk over to at least one employee every single day… and say “thanks, I appreciate the good job you’re doing”? How do you thank employees who do something extraordinary? Do you ever write them a “personal note”?

How people are treated matters more to your employees (especially to millennials) than almost anything else. How do you think you and your team do in this area? What could you do to improve?

These things are quite simple to do, so make it your business to just do it! As the CEO, Founder, or Owner, expressing appreciation more often will go a long way to making your business more successful, and secondarily, improve employee retention.
